Sales/Customer Services Representative - Permanent

 

Salary: £19,000 - £21,000 per annum

Hours: 8:30am–4:30pm Monday – Friday

Holiday: 20 days + stats, increasing by 1 day per years’ service to a max 25

Pension: Up to 8% matched employer contributions

Our client is an award-winning kitchen and bathroom design specialist and subcontractor in the manufacturing and distribution sector. An independent branch of a national organisation they produce high quality, own label products, and sell through independent retailers. Due to continued expansion and future planned growth, they are now seeking someone to join their already established Customer Services team.

The Sales/Customer Service Representative will be responsible for managing customer accounts and enquiries, processing orders, modifications, and requests, in an informative, empathetic, positive, and professional way, ensuring customer satisfaction at each point of contact. Having excellent listening skills, with an approach to resolve any enquiry is key.

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Take orders over the telephone, email, and web enquiries promptly

  • Support individuals with technical queries and questions

  • Resolve customers’ requests, concerns, and questions

  • Assist individuals to choose the right products (pre-sales advice)

  • Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints

  • Liaise with third party service providers

  • Complete daily administrative duties

  • Support other areas of the business when needed 

  • Managing customers unique ordering systems
     

You will have a confident approach with excellent communication abilities supporting both internal and external contacts. As you will be part of a small team, you must be able to effectively discuss customers technical requirements and re-act to these needs. Due to how industrious the department is, you will handle volume telephone enquiries and emails and be able to remain calm when dealing with any exasperated customers.

A GCSE in Maths and English, grade C or above is required as you will be calculating quotations and production dimensions.

An interest or experience within plumbing would be an advantage.
